AMVETS Post 27 is a family-oriented, nonprofit organization serving all Veterans and their families. Located in Russiaville, Indiana, we proudly support Veterans throughout Howard, Clinton, Carroll, and Tipton Counties.

Our mission is simple: Veterans helping Veterans build stronger communities through service, support, and stewardship. This mission guides everything we do, from connecting Veterans with critical resources to fostering fellowship and community engagement.

One of our primary focuses is ensuring Veterans receive the counseling and services they need at no cost. We have five certified counselors who are also Veterans and members of our Post. They are available to provide free counseling and support whenever needed. Anonymous callers are welcome to reach out day or night.

AMVETS Post 27 is also committed to helping Veterans navigate available benefits and resources. Whether you have questions about the VA, disability claims, financial assistance, healthcare, or other Veteran-related needs, we will do our best to connect you with the right resources and organizations. We meet at 6:30PM on the second Wednesday of every month in the Jeff Stout Community Center located at: 650 North West St., Russiaville, IN 46979.

Veterans with a DD214 and Honorable Discharge, along with their families, are welcome to attend.

Membership is not required to receive counseling services.
